||Hello County Community Radio Supporters!Welcome aboard and Happy New Year to everyone!
We wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to since our November 30th “Kick Off” meeting, and especially about our visit a couple of weeks ago to 91xfm in Belleville. Greg Schatzman, Station Manager and Tim Rorbeck (their Technical Guru), gave us a great tour and we learned a lot about what we are going to need to acquire on the technical side as well as our needs for studio/office space.
We, the board, have been meeting regularly every Wednesday (took a Christmas break) back at it January 5, 2012.
Ange Stever is planning the first Programming meeting for this Thursday so we can’t wait to hear what great programming ideas come out of this meeting..
Doug Monk has been busy scouting locations for our tower and studio space.
We are busy right now trying to fulfill the obligations of the application for the CRTC licence. We’ve hired a broadcast engineer to conduct a feasibility study and technical application.
Shortly we will be contacting a large number of Local Community Organizations to let them know about the planned radio station and to garner their support.
And lastly, we will be planning a fundraising activity for March and will keep you posted on this as well.
Thanks again for your interest.
